HIRING A DESIGNER Don’t worry if you’re not skilled with Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator - a lot of our customers purchase their designs online.  There are dozens of reputable sites for hiring freelance designers; to ensure that you get what you want, we recommend that you come to the table with a clear and precise idea for your design. Below are a few examples things you can share with your designer to help achieve the design you’ve imagined: Ask to see some samples of their work or other tees they’ve designed, to make sure their style fits your design style. Also this is a good way to help communicate your ideas by relating to previous pieces of their art. Make sure to clearly explain the type of design you want.  If you leave it up to the artist interpretation you’re going to get their idea and not yours. It is important to allow the artist to have some creative license, but not 100%. Explain the style you’re looking for; providing photos, images and other designs you like, goes a long way. Suggest colors you want in the design, even as far as providing the color codes. Suggest specific fonts you like and want to incorporate into the design. Providing the color of shirt or background the design will be printed on will help out tremendously and give your art a finished look on your t-shirt. Bottom line, the more details you provide the easier it will be for the designer to create exactly what you’re looking for. Below is a list of different design sites our customers have reported using. Most of which enable you to post a listing or ad with the budget and description of your design, then available designers will respond to your listing.  Things to ask for are either a vector or photoshop file, with a clear background, or a high quality PNG file with a DPI of atleast 300 and a transparent background. 99 Designs - www.99designs.com CrowdSpring - www.crowdspring.com Freelancer - www.freelancer.com Behance - www.behance.net Design Spring - www.designspring.com Upwork - www.upwork.com
